Rothorn 2 cable car goes into operation earlier

Thanks to the summer temperatures: The Rothorn 2 cable car will start its summer season as early as 18 June 2022.

The Rothorn 2 cable car will start operating earlier due to the small amount of remaining snow and the good weather. On the coming weekend of 18 and 19 June 2022, the cable car will open its doors for the first time for all hikers, bikers and bon vivants. It will be in continuous operation from 25 June 2022. As far as possible, the summit restaurant will also spoil you with delicious food and drinks at the weekend, but at the latest from the time of continuous operation.

Hiking, biking and simply enjoying
It's going to be really hot in the lowlands on the weekend of 18 June and 19 June 2022. So if you're looking to cool off, you've come to the right place! Most of the hiking trails are free of snow. Depending on the route, you may still come across some small snowfields. The descent towards Alp Sanaspans is also possible by bike. The trail "Dark Side of the Moon" cannot yet be used due to residual snow.
