Public beginner/children's land Kulmwiese from Christmas 2021
A public beginners'/children's land will be created on the Kulmwiese in Innerarosa in winter 2021/2022 in test operation. The beginners'/children's area, which is accessible free of charge, will open its doors to the next generation at Christmas 2021. Alongside the Honeyland on Prätschli, the Kulmwiese in Innerarosa is the second island of access to snow sports and part of the multi-year concept of the Snowsports World of Experience on Tschuggen.
Easy, barrier-free living access to snow and snowsports is at the forefront of the overall Schneesport Erlebniswelt Tschuggen concept, which Arosa Bergbahnen AG initiated in 2016. After Honigland, the first public and free entry island to snow sports, opened in December 2017, another public beginners'/children's area will be available in the Kulmwiese in Innerarosa from Christmas 2021. In the course of the total revision of the local planning of Arosa, the municipality of Arosa has concluded an agreement with the landowners of the Kulmwiese for a test operation in winter 2021/2022. The private landowners make their land available for winter use. During the test phase from December 2021 to April 2022, further development possibilities are to be elicited in consultation with the landowners at joint inspections.
The practice lift in the Kulmwiese can be used free of charge by all guests, large and small, as well as by the snow sports schools and will be in operation daily from 09.30 to 12.00 and from 13.00 to 16.00 (from 22 January until 16.30). The practice area is divided into a freely accessible public area and a sector for the snow sports schools. The Kulmwiese is operated and maintained by the Arosa Bergbahnen.
4th stage in the "Schneesport Erlebniswelt Tschuggen
The "Schneesport Erlebniswelt Tschuggen" is a project of the Arosa Bergbahnen, which aims to make snowsports attractive for young people in Arosa Lenzerheide and to promote it. Arosa wants to make the most of its advantage as a ski resort in the village at a snow-sure 1,800 m above sea level and to stage the area around Tschuggen in an imaginative way. The implementation of the Tschuggen Snowsports Experience World will follow a multi-year staged plan. After the Honigland as a public and free entry island to the snow in 2017, the next stage followed the following year with the sleeping Tomeli bear and the bear snow park at the Ried ski lift. The newly installed "fidget bear search game" in the coming winter 2021/2022 is the 3rd stage in the multi-year development plan. And now follows with the freely accessible public Kulmwiese immediately the 4th stage. All guests are welcome.
