Arosa Lenzerheide starts the 2021 summer season with early weekends
Arosa Lenzerheide is starting the 2021 summer season this coming weekend. For the start of the 2021 summer season, guests and locals will be able to enjoy a varied range of activities on the Weisshorn in Arosa and Pradaschier in Lenzerheide this coming weekend, although there is still a considerable amount of snow above 1,800 metres above sea level. The existing protection concept was adapted based on last winter's good experience and the recommendations of Seilbahnen Schweiz and will continue to be implemented consistently.
The mountain railways' employees have used the time since the winter season closed on 11 April to carry out the necessary inspection work on the summer facilities. This means that the Arosa Lenzerheide summer sports area can start the summer season next weekend. This includes the Pradaschier chairlift in Lenzerheide as well as the 1st section aerial cableway Arosa-Weisshorn in Arosa. The mountain railways will provide information about further openings from Saturday, 5 June 2021 at the beginning of next week.
In addition, the terraces of the zBar in Lenzerheide, the Pradaschier mountain restaurant and the Brüggerstuba mountain restaurant in Arosa will be open next weekend.
The still large amounts of snow above 1,800 m above sea level mean that bikes cannot yet be transported. Many hiking trails are also still covered in snow. Bear lovers will get their money's worth in the Arosa Bear Sanctuary. Next weekend, they can also become part of another highlight. In the indoor enclosures, Jambolina has been learning to behave in a species-specific way towards other bears over the last few weeks. Next Saturday, the time has finally come and Jambolina will be let out into the outdoor enclosure alone for the first time. She will get to know the natural terrain of the Arosa Bear Sanctuary. It remains exciting for the bears and interested bear lovers. With the only mountain railways gondola in the world that travels directly over a Bear Sanctuary, guests can also be there live.
The regular summer rates of Arosa Lenzerheide apply for the use of the two facilities. The Arosa Card is not yet valid in Arosa. Guests with a valid annual or summer season ticket can, of course, use the facilities free of charge.
Protection measures on the mountain
The safety and health of employees, guests and the public continue to have top priority. For this reason, the wearing of face-coverings in accordance with the BAG guidelines is compulsory in all transport facilities, closed rooms of the mountain railways, as well as in all mountain restaurants until the guests are seated at the table. It is also compulsory to wear MNS when queuing outside. All information and the corresponding protective measures can be found at arosalenzerheide.swiss
