Comeback of the big events
The Swiss Orienteering Week is the largest orienteering event in Switzerland and offers all participants a one-week holiday with sport and a touch of adventure. Orienteering is considered a lifetime sport for the whole family. Therefore, the diverse sport in a destination as diverse as Arosa raises the interest of young and old. With the first stage on Sunday, the Swiss Orienteering Week Arosa started into a week entirely focused on orienteering. Although it was drizzling, the motivated runners were not discouraged from searching for their posts in the Arosa Obersee area and mastering the wooded, hilly terrain as quickly as possible.
The Swiss O Week in Arosa runs until Saturday, 24 July. Five more varied stages with lots of sunshine await the participants in the unique mountain panorama of Arosa. The elite races are certainly worth mentioning here, where the big names from the national orienteering team will also be running on Thursday and Friday. The finishes of all stages can also be followed on the Swiss O Week website via the live cams. In addition to the sporting competition, the participants can also enjoy a wide-ranging social programme alongside the competitions.
The destination of Arosa offers cultural activities, nature-based recreation and adventures in the Arosa Bear Sanctuary as well as the rope park, providing the necessary variety in addition to orienteering.
